It's been an exciting week with lots of changes, some very unexpected.
It was my birthday on Monday, I was very lucky to receive some beautiful gifts, this Cath Kidston sewing box from Steve, Georgina and Alexander
My in-laws gave me a set of the sewing tins from the same collection, they look great with my cottage sewing basket from last Christmas.
Steve also searched for something unusual and found me a lovely old bureau for my studio. It's a bit worse for wear and was rescued from an old seaside hotel. I love it and once I removed the red bookcase from my studio it fit into the gap with only 2mm to spare!
When I have time I will rub it down and either varnish it or paint it, I am leaning towards painting at the moment, maybe a duck egg blue or french grey but I need to live with it first before I decide. I love that my flea market finds all fit into the display section
The next section down is where I keep my old writing box, full of 7 Gypsies and Tim Holtz goodies. The suitcase was a gift (thank you Barbara) and contains photographs.
The lower part fits all of my books and some albums
I had a huge tidy up and reorganisation in my studio but the photographs I took with my pocket camera are terrible, the colours are all wrong. I'll take some more with a decent camera to post later.
