Sometimes I get homesick for the North East, I miss the wild open spaces and the people there, not necessarily people I know, just the people in general, they are so different to the South East. Alex came home on Wednesday bearing gifts, some stottie cakes from Greggs (no others will do) and some pease pudding. His accent is growing stronger and he feels very much at home in Newcastle, I am so pleased he decided to go to Uni there.
These adverts keep popping up and I love to see them even though they make me want to drive up for a few days. I'm hoping for a break long enough to visit places instead of the usual whirlwind tour of relatives homes.
It's been lovely and warm here most of the week, the wisteria has buds and Spring is definitely here, roll on summer and beach time!
We bought a negative scanner during the week, it's great fun discovering old photographs, well, for us anyway, I'm not sure that Georgina is too impressed!
Miss Amelia came to visit this morning, she is three months old today and greeted me with a smile.
