We're here! I met up with Kirsty last night and picked up the hire car, a Nissan Note, brand new and a CD player, it just so happens I have a copy of Ferry's Dylanesque with me. I didn't think they were going to give me a car after I crashed my luggage trolley into the Avis counter!
We drove out to Howth and had some gorgeous fish and chips while sitting on a rock overlooking the harbour then back to the hotel. My back is worse from the luggage lifting yesterday but a hot bath this morning has eased it enough for shopping! We are in an internet cafe on the banks of the Liffey and about to go to a store called Avoca for some brunch and a little shop then off into the countryside for some sightseeing on the way to Tullamore.
Kirsty is a brilliant co-pilot and obviously Mark has trained her well in map reading when they go to Geocache because she has managed to get us around while I concentrate on driving and trying not to scratch the hire car! Her one fault is that she keeps singing about somebody called Molly Malone and her cockles, I will have to turn up the CD a bit louder.
Crafteire starts in the morning and I can't wait to meet everyone, I am sure we will have fun.
Hi Jane,
Your day sounds idyllic. Ireland is a beautiful place. I wish I was there. I hope you begin to feel better and have a fun and successful time teaching at Craftiere. Best Wishes, Anne
